Incredible Tips to Develop Lucrative Information Products! Part 2

By Steve Beck

In Part I, I told you why electronic information found online is better than a book from a bookstore. New business owners are surprised to discover how easy it is to sell information products - it's an extraordinary way to make money online! In this article, I'll give you five tips to help you generate profitable info products.

Tip 1: Think of what your customer is giving, and what he is getting in return.

When purchasing your information product, your customer is trading his dollars for your information. Therefore, make it an easy trade for him. I will trade $47 for information that makes me $4700 every day of the week! That is why "how to make money" ebooks sell so well.

They willingly pay $47 to learn how to do something quickly and easily. On the other hand, they are unlikely to pay $47 for your old baby pictures or an article on darning their socks. See the difference? By finding out what they want, you are in a better position to offer them a great trade for their money!

Tip 2: Tell the Customer HOW Your Product Will Help Them.

How will your information product benefit your customers? Tell them how it will help them to:

make people money?

save their money

save more money for retirement

avoid common pitfalls

Tell your customers exactly how your product will help them in ways they can understand, and your sales will soar!

Tip 3: Turn One E-Book into Many Parts

If you have a 150 page ebook, consider breaking it up into three 50 page ebooks. Everyone likes to get more value and it feels more satisfying to get three different ebooks rather than one fat one. It feels like you are getting more for your money.

Tip 4: Make the Purchase a "No-Brainer" - Add Bonus Material!

Satisfy the appetite of the most curious client by offering them more. Search out a handful of inexpensive informational products to include as bonuses. Now your client is paying $47 for three e-books, plus he's getting $500 in free bonus material. All he needs to do is provide you with an email address so you can deliver the bonus material - and you benefit from one more contact to add to your subscription list!

Tip 5: Sell first to those who have already bought from you.

Too many online business owners make this mistake - they chase new clients relentlessly, while neglecting their current clients. Over time, those clients trickle away. Don't let that happen to you. Take steps to ensure their continued loyalty, which they have already demonstrated by being your customer in the first place.

So, start with a niche. Ask that niche what they want. And then start creating information products that satisfy the itch they are ALREADY telling you they have. It is a blast and you will achieve expert status in your niche in no time at all!
