Free Keyword Tools Every Internet Marketer Should Be Using

One of the many chores an Internet Marketer must do is keyword research. This is the act of finding profitable words search engine users are typing into the search engines to find products and services. If you ever hope to make money online, you must become proficient at finding these money making words. Fortunately, there are free tools that you can use online.

Finding a reliable keyword tool is not hard. There are several paid versions on the market and many top marketers use them religiously. But what about the person just getting into Internet Marketing that can't afford $150 per month or more for a keyword tools. Have no fear, there are some very good keyword tools that are free to use.

Here are 5 of the best keyword research tools I've found.

One tool you'll want to learn how to use is Google's keyword tool. This free keyword tool will show you the approximate number of searches in the past month and the avereage number of searches per month over the last year. You can also see the approximate per click rate advertisers are paying for your keyword.

SEO Book has a great keyword research tool that I use. In fact, out of these 5 tools, it's probably the best out there. This tool will show you many variables on each keyword. For example, it will show you the estimated clicks per day from all the major search engines, the Compete Rank, Google Trends and many more. You can really drill down to find those profitable keywords with this tool.

The next keyword tool has been around a long time. It's been a favorite of many marketers. A lot of them go on to buy the full version, but for the beginner, the free version is powerful enough. It's called WordTracker. WordTracker's free version allows users to sort and drill down through long tail keywords in order to find ones that will be profitable.

One of my favorite downloadable keyword research tools is one called Good Keywords. This company puts out some other very ingenius keyword research tools. One advantage of using Good Keywords is that it will also return how many misspellings a keyword has. If you're not targeting misspellings, you are leaving some money on the table!

Another powerful free keyword research tool I use is WordPot. This tool is probably the easiest to use for beginners. It has nice features such as the ability to drill down and find synonyms, related words and associated words. These alternate keywords can be real money makers!

Keyword research doesn't have to be hard or expensive. These free keyword tools will help you locate and optimize profitable keywords for your Internet Marketing efforts. Good keywords are gold. So the sooner you learn how to use these free tools, the quicker you'll be on your way to making money online.
