Simple Copywriting Trick

I believe one of the best copywriters who ever lived was Gary Halbert. He wrote some of the most profitable letters and space ads on history. And, on top of all that, he was a fantastic teacher of copywriting as well.

Gary was all about leveraging resources to make life easy. For instance, imagine you decide to write a book about getting healthy and fit.

What should you do?

Well, maybe you can study horse racing. Maybe you can spend years around the best horse trainers to find out what their secrets are. Maybe you can get in with the inner circle of horse racing. But is all of that time, work and stress necessary? Not at all. There is a much more hassle-free method to getting everything you need to know about horse racing.

Rather than doing things the old school way, Gary might tell you to go out and get the best sellers on health and fitness. Take all these books and start reading them. As you do so, write down notes in a notebook. Make sure to extract all the really juicy stuff readers would be hot read about.

Then you take all that information and write your own dieting book including only the unique and exclusive stuff from each book. The stuff that does not overlap. What you are left with is a compact book on dieting with all the filler taken out.

That's the way to do it.

This lesson applies to crafting promotions. You can shortcut the entire process and create great space ads... websites... and... other forms of advertising quickly.

The technical term for this copywriting technique is called... swiping. And boy does it ever work! Gary even held an entire seminar on copywriting. The bulk of that seminar focused on how to swipe blockbuster ads ethically and legally.

You do not have to become a great copywriter to swipe. Learn to do it the right way and a lot of obstacles to creating advertising that works will disappear.

When you do, here's what'll happen as a result...

** Writer's block will no longer exist. You'll know where to start and ad. You'll no longer be figuring out what to say. Because the swipe ads give you all that information.

** You'll crank out ads in record time. The swipe ad is there to help you write faster. You no longer have to figure out what to say to a prospect. Everything is there for you in the swipe.

** Your copy will be up to 300% more effective. Whenever you model success the odds of success are on your side. When modeling a successful ad you stand a much better chance of writing a winner.

Don't even think about writing another ad before you have a swipe at your side.
