Harlem Globetrotters at Connecticut

By Sive Iver

Harlem Globetrotters have been dunking their way to our hearts until they were considered as the Ambassadors of Goodwill. Harlem Globetrotters have not only touched us kids and old basketball fans but presidents and popes have also been touched.

Every year a new set of stars would join the Harlem Globetrotters and at each year they would travel from one state to another to entertain their fans. They have been doing this for 82 years, 82 years of doing their traditional basketball exhibitions.

From champion competitive play to ball-handling magic and gravity-defying dunks, the Globetrotters will never disappoint their basketball fans. As new teams or stars come on board there will be new never-before-seen feats aside from their traditional basketball exhibition moves.

The Globe trotters have created a Legends Ring in 1993; this is for any member who has contributed to the success and the development of the organization. A group of special advisory board selects the honoree that has excelled off the off the court, in athletic ability, showmanship, humanitarian contributions, and crowd appeal.

The Globetrotters mascot, Globie, will entertain and thrill crowds like no other and the team will bring its signature blend of basketball, entertainment and good-will to 45 U.S. States, three Canadian Provinces, and 25 countries around the world. Globie loves making people smile. Dancing, cheering, meeting fans and giving high-fives, Globie is a symbol of worldwide goodwill and family fun. Globie became the mascot of the Harlem Globetrotters, the perfect team to fit his style of fun, energy and making kids laugh.

The Harlem Globetrotters will have their tour at XL Center, Hartford, CT on March 27, 2009 at around 7:00 P.M. The admission ticket cost from $17.00 to $131.00 which can be purchased by phone 860-525-4500 or any Ticketmaster office. Come and watch the Harlem Globetrotters exhibit to satisfy your inner kids dreams of playing basketball.
