How To Create CrackBerry Ringtones From Movie and Songs...

By Thom Yarbrough

Let's face it, the BlackBerry is one of the best and most coveted mobile devices in the world. Ever since it came on the scene in 1999 it's been a huge hit. When it was first introduced by RIM (Research In Motion) and was essentially a two-way pager, but when the new version, the Smartphone BlackBerry, came out in 2002, it revolutionized the mobile device industry. The new BlackBerry had tremendous versatility, with mobile phone, email, web browsing, texting and faxing, and what's known as a multi-touch interface.

Which is why so many Mac users jumped on the BlackBerry bandwagon. They recognize great performance when they come across it. BlackBerry users want the world in their pocket and they want seamless, hassle-free performance. But they also want versatility in creating custom BlackBerry ringtones. They especially want to create BlackBerry Ringtones from their favorite iTunes. Now there's a way around the BlackBerry iTunes ringtone problem. A great little company called PocketMac has created PocketMac RingtoneStudio For BlackBerry.

All types of music files are supported with this system. If the song you pick is less than 30 seconds long, PocketMac RingtoneStudio For BlackBerry converts it instantly into the right format for your BlackBerry ringtone. If the song is a more than 30 seconds, you get a preview window, which allows you to pick the segment of the song you want to use as your BlackBerry ringtone.

If you want to have your favorite QuickTime movie files as your BlackBerry ringtone you can do that too - just download, drag and drop and it's done.

You can also use your favorite QuickTime movie files as your BlackBerry ringtones. You just drag and drop and it's done.

PocketMac was started by Terence Goggin almost ten years ago. Terence, a total Mac freak, used his creativity and design skills to expand options for Macintosh users. Three years later, Terence tapped his brother Tim to step in and join PocketMac.

This is good news for Mac users, and now especially for BlackBerry users who want more ringtone options.
