Common Plumbing Problems

It certainly is not the best situation in the world to be the owner of a clogged bathroom or kitchen sink drain. It really can be cumbersome having to deal with one of those irritating blocked drain problems, more so when you are in the midst of holding a happening get together at your place. However, the best way to deal with this is to get a professional plumber tackle it.

What ideally a plumber also would be checking first for is this- what kind of clogs are existing in what kind of drains? Also, what kind of drain cleaning agent you should use has to be decided carefully. It should not result in further clogs, thereby making the whole drain go waste.

The plumbers can either go in for chemicals as the drain clearing agent or can use some kind of natural drain cleaning tools which they trust. Opening the drain pipe and inspecting for the kind of waste that has clogged the drain can be helpful in dealing with the problem.

In most cases of a kitchen drain clog, you will witness food particles, dirt and fat stuff clogging the narrow hollow space of the plumbing equipment.

Once you know the kind of waste trapped in the drain pipe, accordingly you can choose the chemical to be used to pump out these waste particles. But remember, these chemicals must be handled with great care as they can be very harmful not used properly.

One of the most common drain cleaning equipment which is good to have at homes also is the ball type plunger. It can be used to pump out light weight particles.

These type of plungers are more resistant to moisture and air block pressure in the drain. Moreover, they have a great sucking force as compared to the normal plungers.

Otherwise, what you could probably do is "Just affix an easily available drain strainer. A strainer fits into the drainpipe just like a normal strainer and blocks the heavy junk, thereby preventing it from slipping further down the drain.
