Need A Reasonably Priced Touch Screen Phone

By Cathy L. Kimble

With the iPhone making its rounds all the other companies are trying to release rival touch screen phones. Touch screen phones are the latest craze in the cell phone world right now. Everybody wants to get their hands on one. With so many touch screen phones available it might be hard for a person to choose the right phone for themselves. One of the newest touch screen phones available from Verizon Wireless is the LG enV Touch.

The enV Touch has an amazingly large touch screen. It supports a staggering 1.6 million colors. The display is very sharp, vibrant, and bright. There are only 3 physical buttons on the front of the phone underneath the touch screen. Displayed for dialing and messaging is an alphanumeric keypad. The touch screen is very responsive and actually has options to vibrate or emit a noise when your touch is registered by the phone. This function helps you practice using and utilizing the touch screen correctly. The touch screen works well but it takes a while to get used to. When the phone is flipped open the user will have access to a physical full QWERTY keyboard and a secondary screen which is just as large as the one on the outside. The keyboard is very easy to use because the buttons aren't cramped together.

The enV Touch lacks V Cast Mobile TV and Wi-Fi which are obvious disappointments. But there are other interesting features which make up for it. One of the more unique features is a drawing pad. This function allows you to actually doodle using your finger right onto the enV's touch screen. The user is then able to save the picture on the phones hard drive and share the file with anyone on their contact list. For easy storage of information and data the enV features a USB port. The phone also features a full HTML web browser, but it can be quite difficult to navigate with the unique controls.

The LG enV Touch features a very impressive camera. The lens is 3.2 megapixels and takes great looking photos. The phone offers many expansive image capturing options such as five white balance presets, six resolution settings, three focusing modes and much much more. One of the most notable features on the camera is the ability for it to take panoramic photos. It does this by digitally molding together 3 photos (left, middle, and right) taken of an area.

The phone has great call quality as well. Callers will sound crystal clear over the phones ear piece. Thankfully the speakerphone works just as well also. Callers will sound clear and will come through without interference through the phones speakers.

The enV Touch is a very capable phone. Anyone looking for an affordable touch screen phone with expansive features should look no further. The phone does have some chinks in its armor but it makes up for it with its amazing list of functions.
