The economy of the people have started getting higher incomes and therefore their standard also changes accordingly.

Interior decorators come up with different ideas to change the overall look of the house, offices etc.

The slabs build in the kitchens is what we call granite countertops. Granite is a natural rock unlike other stones, which are the modified forms of these natural rocks or so called man made stones. Granite is found everywhere in different shapes, sizes, colors though they have limited colors.

The features of granite countertops are that they are very high stain, heat, wear and tear, scratch resistance. They are generally expensive but can be afforded by a common man. It is not a blend of any other stone as it is found naturally in nature.

Granite rocks have pores in it. They are as hard as a diamond and is very strong. So before they are used there pores are filled with sealant. Sealants are leveled. After leveling they appear very beautiful as well as elegant. No disappearance is seen.

We can mould dough on granite countertops, even cut vegetables or fruits without any scratch on it. People even make granite countertops in their homes so as to look very elegant and sophisticated. If you have a good taste then you should definitely buy granite. Before buying granite you should first visit all the stores and the dealers and check the quality of the granite. They should be long lasting.

Kitchen countertops can be made of different stones depending upon your requirement. They can be made of ceramic stones which are cheap to the most expensive stone granite. Bit the beauty lies in the granite stone as it is very smooth and looks more sophisticated. It has a glossy shine in it.

Marble countertops are no doubt better than limestone. Limestone is soft but marble is hard. It is leveled and different carvings can be done on it. The slabs of our kitchen can be made of marbles. When we cut vegetables or fruits then generally we can see scratches on our slabs, but if our slabs are made up of granite then no such problem occurs. We should prefer granite or marble countertops.
