Listen to Your Prospect. It is important to listen to the prospect in order to understand him. As a general rule you should allow your prospect to speak for more than three-fourth of the time.

Ask open-ended questions. This is a way to encourage your prospect to speak. Without being insulting you can ask open-ended questions to keep the interaction going, such as why, what, where, when. Your prospect will feel more involved.

Match expectations of the prospect to your offer. Ask yourself frankly this question. Can your offer be used to satisfy the expectations of the prospect? If yes, then you may be on the right track. Just show the prospect how your business is going to help him.

Whether the person that you found during your network marketing prospecting joins your business or not, respect their decision. Not only is this a refined way to do business, but it will keep the door open for future discussions and they may join you later.
