How To Fix The Problem Of Weak Water Pressure ?

By Scott Rodgers

The problem of water pressure affects the overall efficiency of your plumbing system. A weak or moderate water pressure slows down the pace of the general household tasks such as washing utensils, taking a shower, gardening etc.

In order to restore the normal functioning of your plumbing setup, a quick probe is required into the matter. Keep the assistance of a plumber in tact to bail you out of the complications met during the plumbing assignment. Also make sure that a perfectly blended plumbing tool kit is at your disposal.

Kick off the campaign by locating the root of the problem. The weak pressure may be due to the irregularities in some of the plumbing components such as taps, showers, faucets etc. Observe the water supply of different plumbing elements of your home and try to determine if the problem lies with the whole plumbing setup or certain taps and showers only. Make way for a plumber to check such plumbing segments and replace washers, threads or other constituents if needed.

If no potential fault is located in the functioning of these peripherals then move to the pipe lying between the supply line and the branch line. If the size of that particular pipe is small then replace it with a large-sized pipe so as to allow more volume of water to flow in a certain period of time.

Also check the main supply line for it's size and determine whether it requires a replacement or not. Invite any possible suggestion from an expert and get it replaced immediately if recommended so.

Sometimes the water pressure from the main municipal line is so weak that all the neighboring households face the same situation. In that case a booster pump can be installed at the end of the system to amplify the pressure of water.

If an additional plumbing architecture such as an irrigation system is working alongside the home plumbing system then the pressure is likely to be affected as well.

If all else fails then the services of a professional plumbing team has to be availed to sort out the issue.
