Working From Better Than A Day Job

By Vicki Irvin

Most people opting to work from home today are women. It was the case always but was earlier restricted to house wives who never took up a daily job. Now women are quitting daily full time jobs and are opting to work from the comfort of their homes. This phenomenon can be attributed largely to the Internet.

This way they don't have to spend a lot of time commuting and can also spend time at home with the kids. Many organizations and businesses have taken to this mode of employment. Some of them want their employees to work from home only as this would save office space and reduce attrition.

Internet marketing is one of the most preferred work-from-home options. It is easy, requires almost no investment and it pays well. There are many avenues available to market in the online world and the advent of social networking has made finding a target group very easy. Also the work that needs to be done does not require running about like marketing in the real world.

Another option is writing. There is enormous scope for good writers. Many women contribute handsomely for many websites, portals and are paid well. One can choose a genre of interest and get started. The best part of the job is the joy of seeing a byline with your name and knowing that people read your thoughts.

Most women write on blogs. Blogging pays a skilled writer well and is the only job that has the reputation of being fun.

Other kind of work which doesn't need excessive computer usage are making paintings or other handcrafts and selling them. There is always a demand for good work and working from home can give the best of every world.
