Guess Watches History

By Aidan Ingram

Thanks to the number of advertising campaigns that have achieved worldwide acclaim and accolades Guess watches have become one of the most popular watch brands in the world. Their product placement campaigns are second to none and they've been successful in having some of the biggest stars in the world wear their watch range. Throughout the past few decades they've acquired some major exclusivity contracts including a very lucrative deal with the 1985 hit film Back to the Future.

The company has been designing watches for over 25 years; starting in 1984 their watch range quickly became the most profitable range of their business. The company celebrated in style with a limited edition watch in 2004, celebrating the success of the brand but also how stylish and well known their range of watches had become across the world.

As their stratospheric success continued the brand decided to venture into the luxury watches market to tackle competitors such as D&G and Armani. Many brands have tried and failed this as they were unable to compete with the mammoths of the industry however Guess watches have successfully carved out a sector of the market thanks to their high quality watches being worn by celebrities worldwide.

The brand has been able to lead fashion trends and style throughout its years and it has become desirable thanks to being worn by a number of red carpet celebrities at prestigious events. Paris Hilton is always seen wearing Guess watches that ooze with style and elegance and a number of other celebrities can be seen wearing the high quality bling offerings.

Guess watches also provides high quality and luxury watches for men. A number of high profile hip hop artists have been seen sporting the brand's range that includes elegant and understated watches oozing with masculinity and style. While the men's range is significantly more sedate than the female's larger than life range, the same high quality design goes into both selections.
