Have a Dilemma Conserving RSS Subscribers? If So, Then This Is For You

By Ricky Porter

You have a blog or static site, and you're publishing content; however if you happen to do not already know it does take a bit extra effort to get traffic plus people going back to your website for more. No matter getting RSS subscribers or not, you will need to do all in your power to create a web site the place people will naturally want to keep up to date from your content. Sometimes when we make our content pages we will easily look sight of the truth that we're not really making them for us, we're making them for our visitors and web site readers. So to this finish, we would like so that you can uncover three fundamental approaches to holding your visitors on your site and hopefully turn them into RSS subscribers. These tricks are certain to be applicable whether your site discusses ideas as obscure as "creams for psoriasis" or subject matter more widespread like "dessert recipes" or "laptops."

The single best way to retain those subscribers to your RSS feed is to keep giving them content. The purpose for people signing up with you is because they expect that you'll give them the same quality content over and over. But if they see that your updates are once in a blue moon, they might not feel the need of being subscribed to your feed. You don't have to post every single day, but you should keep a steady but moderate pace. Your main focus should always be on your subscribers' minds. Keep in mind that RSS feeds are a dime a dozen, but if you give people what they ask for, and you do it consistently enough, they'll definitely pay attention to yours. After all, you should always want to offer better and more consistent updates from the people competing against you. Your subscribers will also feel valued when they are able to get more value out of your updates because their time is precious. When you are giving them post after post, you need to make sure you are providing the same quality content, as they are spending their time on you.

Try to keep from including affiliate links in your blog postings because this will give people the impression that you're just trying to make money off of them and you're not really providing good content. When you put too many affiliate links in your postings, you will see people drop off your RSS feed like flies.

Last but not least, do your best to stay away from popup ads like viglink and even infolink because those will just take your readers off to other locales. Your readers will definitely not feel welcome if you do that and you might end up making them feel annoyed. For example, if you have a hyperlink in your post that takes your readers to a place where they can sign up, your popups hover over it and brings new links. When readers click the ads in the popups, they're not going to go anywhere near where you want them to in your post. So the rule is: to keep readers happy, avoid popup links.

It should now be apparent that keeping your RSS subscribers is actually quite easy. Your subscribers find value in your posts and that's why they subscribe, so never forget to provide that value.
