The Needful Plumbers

By Scott Rodgers

Organizing a party is really difficult. It was a lunch party being organized at my home. Everything needs to be managed properly and has to be perfect. My task was more tough as I had prepared the home made food all my myself.

As a working woman I only get get time to clean my house only on Sunday. As all clothes remained piled up all through the six days. I woke up early morning , cleaned my house. I decorated my house with fresh flowers so that my living room will look more attractive.

I prepared the food according to my guests choice. It really took time for me. I prepared food early so that I can take rest and can welcome the guests happily. Its always my personal choice to follow this habit since the time I started cooking.

I dressed well.. My guests arrived by one in the afternoon. I have kept my room as much clean as possible. They were surprised by looking it. For a working woman it is difficult to maintain. It was out of their mind to see such a beautiful room.

We talked for around one hour. When all the guests arrived I served the food for them. They appreciated the food preparation. Some of even asked the recipes so that they can try those at home.

I have a wash room in my flat. After the lunch all the guests went to the wash room to wash hands after the food one by one. After few had washed hands I noticed that the wash room was full of water and it was entering to the other room as well. I was really shocked to see the happening.

It was for the first time I have encountered such problem. It was really an embarrassing moment for me as others still did not wash their hands. But thankfully the plumbers in my flat were available. I called up immediately. Soon the plumbers came. They even could not understand what had happened.

They looked for the main pipe which was connected to my drain pipe. They found that someone has drained a polythene in the flat. The polythene was obstructing the water flow. They cleared it. My guests washed their hands. I was relaxed.
