Xbox 360's are the best game consoles around and I have loved them from the first day I started playing them. So when I fell upon a offer for a free xbox on the internet I was happy as a lark. I soon realized that it was not as easy to get a free xbox as I thought it was going to be.
I was quickly taken to a page that asked for my shipping information so that they could send me a free xbox. I put my info in and then I was taken to another page that started asking me what I was interested in and wanted my credit card info for some kind of free trial. I finally figured out I had to fill out a bunch of offers in order to get a free xbox 360 or a free xbox 360 elite.
Honestly, some of the offers where from some big name companies that I was familiar with like netflix but after filling out a few I got a little tired of it and stopped. I never went back to finish filling out the number of offers I needed to in order to get the free xbox
I never went back to fill out those offers and since then I have become a student of affiliate marketing. I have learned that what i witnessed with the free xbox offer that I tried was an incentive affiliate offer. In other words they are paying you to fill out offers that they get paid on. (if that makes sense)
The way it works is they set up all these programs that can be filled out and if you fill all of them out you will get a free xbox. The trick is they know that a certain percentage of customers are not going to follow through and fill all of the offers out. Also, if some one does fill out all the offers the commissions they get from the affiliate networks for getting you to sign up more than cover the cost of giving away a free xbox and pay for shipping.
So, I now know how it works and have realized that it is not a bad Idea if you can get traffic through to your offers. In fact I am sure it is very profitable especially dealing with xbox lovers like me. since then I have actually tried several free xbox for free offers and have realized that there are quite a few scams out there. Even if you fill out the offers you don't get the xbox.
you have to be wary of who you are filling the offers out with because most of the offers you fill out to get the so called free xbox are reoccurring billing offers that will charge in 7 to 30 days and if you don't cancel them and forget your card will get dinged.
Some of the companies are legit, and do send out a free xbox if you fill out the offers. You can find one of those companies by going to my blog which is in the resource section of this article. and I got a bunch of cool xbox stuff on the blog to.
