Cash From Home

By Diana Mckay

Every business owner wants to know what its customers think of its products or services. An online survey is a powerful search tool that can provide feedback you need. Online surveys are best for the business owner because they are easy, fast and cheap.

The alternatives are paper surveys which are not only time consuming but also expensive. For the business as well as the surveyor the process is relatively simple. The business will create a survey and customize the layout.

Once created, the information is ready to be complete. The business will send e-mail invitations to the respondents asking them to take your survey. Some choose to post a link to the survey on their website.

To get the most responses, both methods can be used together. Define to those that will be taking the survey the purpose. Define your objectives and let them know if you are attempting to evaluate your Web site's features and content.

Are you attempting to measure the effectiveness of your programs or services? Or do you want to find out if subscribers find your newsletters informative? Remember to be clear and specific when defining your objectives.

Remember to be clear and precise when setting your goals. If your goals are not clear from the outset, your results will not be either. Decide who you want your participants to be and what information you need.

Make sure that each one of your survey questions relates back to your primary objectives. The survey should be short and take no more than ten minutes to complete. The shorter that your survey is the more likely people will be to participate.

Sometimes people need a little motivation to participate. The motivation is usually in the form of cash. Some of them will participate for material goods.

These can be as simple as prizes drawings or gifts. At the end of the survey, respondents leave knowing when they can expect to receive their reward. Make sure you keep that promise.

People are spending more and more time on the Internet. When they discover that they can earn some cash by simply filling out surveys, they are quick to act. It doesn't take people long to figure out that the money can add up by the end of the month.
