The Types Of Promotional Sport Bottles And Their Upsides And Downsides

By Katya Reonal

It is very important to be familiar first and make an informed decision. Let us examine each kind of logo water bottles that are being sold in the market. It is also vital to know the benefits and drawbacks behind each and every one of them.

There's the traditional plastic bottle. This is the kind you get from your food store or petrol station. It maybe common but this is infamous due to the fact that they are made of polyethylene terephthalate, a thermoplastic polymer resin which leaks a probable carcinogen after repeated usage. Furthermore, reusing water plastic bottles may lead to health problems due to bacterial growth.

Following that is the hard plastic sport bottle which is made of a polycarbonate (#7 on the bottom). They are not safe as well because may leach Bisphenol A (or BPA). Independent lab tests link BPA exposures in animal and test-tube experiments to conditions involving hormonal imbalances, including a few types of cancer, early puberty and changes in brain structure, particularly for exposures during key points of fetal or early neonatal development. Canada's regulatory body, Health Canada, has already classify Bisphenol A as a hazardous chemical. Ironically, the FDA stresses that there is no cause for concern because human exposure levels to the chemical from sources such as sport bottles is so low to have any adverse effects. Whatever the case may be, it's better to keep the foretasted sport bottles away from your mouth. It is better to be safe than sorry. Thing brings us to a further type of polycarbonate sport bottle-the BPA--free water bottle. These BPA-free water containers are made with copolyester, a clear and colorful material that is alike polycarbonate--just without the BPA.

If you would like to go a different route other than because there are safety risks with plastic sport bottles, you can opt for aluminum or stainless steel water bottles. Printed aluminum water containers are safe to drink from; they are simple yet lasting and lightweight as well. Plus, they do not harm the planet. Using aluminum water bottles reduces our dependency on plastic which is a byproduct of crude oil. Certainly, it will reduce your carbon footprint and your impact on the globe.

Due to recent efforts to make customized stainless steel water containers attractive to every user, many special items have been added. Buyers now have the options like attaching carabiners and built-in straws. Other manufacturers have even added aluminum sip cups for kids.

The disadvantage of some aluminum bottles is that they do not offer much insulation. Hence, condensation builds up on the outside of the bottle when it contains cold drinks and having hot drinks make it uncomfortable to handle. Not to mention, the limited opening makes filling, cleaning and using the bottle easier said than done.

Now that you know the pros and cons of each and every type of printed water bottle, it's about time you make an informed purchase.
