to their benefit. You can also use self storage when you go abroad for a long trip and want your items stored safely and securely. Selling your belongings off before the trip and buying new ones after coming back would be an act of careless extravagance.

Then there are items like garden furniture, which take up a lot of space without being of much use because of their utility only for a limited period of the year, and they can be a source of annoyance for any house owner. You have two choices. You can either rent these items for the specific time you want to use them or take advantage of a self storage unit to purchase and keep them for later use. The latter option is much more economical.

Self storage also makes changing your house much smoother as all that a family has to do is to unpack its belongings as they would already be lying packed at the self storage unit. It is much better than first selling older items and then purchasing new stuff for the new residence.

Size of the items hardly matters when it comes to self storage and this is one of its most important benefits. With modern self storage, there are no problems with security either as they have latest alarms and cameras to supervise the belongings of their customers.

Fair comments. I would also add that if you can get the self storage company to do a free collection, you'll save yourself a lot of time and hassle.
