This will give a distorted picture due to the abnormal draw down and doesn't mean much in relation to the trader's true ability. To keep this sort of thing from happening to you, set your own stops with the trader. Himfr.com reports China To Advance Financial Co-op With ASEAN

Heads of Chinese financial institutions vowed Tuesday to step up financial cooperation with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area heads for operation in 2010.

"There is huge potential for financial cooperation between China and ASEAN as the two sides record fast development in the financial sector and their financial ties are inadequate to keep up with their trade exchanges," Su Ning, vice governor of China's central bank, said at a forum, part of the 6th China-ASEAN Expo held from Oct. 20 to 24 in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

"There are also challenges ahead, and the central bank will step up talks with central banks of the ASEAN member states to develop a stable and flexible mechanism for financial cooperation," he said.

China would "gradually" open the country's financial market and develop favorable environment for financial institutions from ASEAN to set up branches in China or take stakes in Chinese financial institutions, he said.

Li Ruogu, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, expected countries in the region to further open financial and capital markets, ease limits on market entry in financial sector, develop new financial products, and push forward settlement cooperation toreduce dependence on the U.S. dollar.

In July of this year, China implemented pilot scheme for cross-border RMB trade settlement in Shanghai. Currently, China has sealed cooperation agreements of bilateral trade settlement with the central banks of Laos and Vietnam in ASEAN.

Heads of other commercial banks present at the forum, including Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, also pledged more cooperation with their counterparts in ASEAN member states.

H.E. Phouphet Khamphounvong, Governor of the Bank of Laos, said Lao government had been aware of the benefits from open financial markets and financial cooperation as its central bank had signed cooperation pacts with China's central bank and China Development Bank. Laos would further incorporate into the regional cooperation, he said.

The forum was held at a time when nations were pushing forward a reform on the world financial system as the financial crisis originated in the United States dragged the world economy into recession.

Xiao Gang, Chairman of Bank of China, said China and ASEAN should strengthen financial cooperation, which is an important force to weather the global economic downturn and help stabilize the world economy.

Lessons from the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the 2008 global financial crisis showed no single economy but the collaboration of nations was able to rein in the spread of crisis, he said.

This is a situation where, for instance, you will hear a person arguing that they are overweight just because their weighing scale registered 160 pound the last time they stepped on it, or that they have lost enough weight because they have moved from 200 to 160 on the pound scale; without taking into consideration the other factors that go into judging what is healthy or unhealthy in terms of weight.

The truth of the matter is that there is no weight figure that can be said to be ideal or not ideal for anyone, for the simple reason that 'healthy weight' is relative - and dependent on a number of factors, one of which is, of course, the height of the person in question. What might be considered a healthy weight for a very tall person might therefore not be a very healthy weight figure for a relatively shorter person, hence the fallibility of the 'absolutionist' approach to weight, where people attempt to make judgments as to how healthy or unhealthy their weight is by just looking at the weighing scales. What the body mass index (BMI) does, then, is to introduce the height factor into the weight loss effort, in attempting to find out what - in objective terms - an ideal weight for a particular person should be.

A person's body mass index is therefore a ratio arrived at by dividing a person's body weight by their height. To calculate your own body mass index - which would provide us with a better picture as to whether or not you really need weight loss - all you have to do is first find out what your body weight is (in kilogram), followed by what your height is (in meters), then square the height figure, and divide your kilogram weight by it (in the format BMI = weight in kilograms/(height in meters)2.

The figure that you obtain by dividing weight by height is a better guide as to whether or not weight loss is something you need than the figure you would get by just looking at the weighing scale only. If the figure you obtain after dividing your weight in kilograms by the square of your height in meters squared is anything between 20.1 and 25 - and you are a man, then your weight is ideal, and you only need to take measures to ensure a healthy body weight - rather than weight loss measures - because you really don't need to lose weight (at least from a medical point of view).

If the figure you obtain after dividing you're your weight in kilograms by the square of your height in meters on the other hand is anything between 18.7 and 23.8 - and you are a woman, then weight loss is not something you might be in need of (as your weight is ideal); though you might consider maintaining a healthy diet and exercise regime to maintain the ideal weight you currently have.

The body mass index offers a better guide as to whether you really need to lose weight given the fact that weight tends to be relative, and even from a common sense point of view, a 6 foot person weighing 90 kilograms might not sound (and look) as outrageous as a four foot person weighing the same.

UFC Struggles To Sell Tickets For Their Latest Event

Portland, Oregon has long been considered a hotbed of mixed martial arts. The area is home to numerous MMA gyms, the most famous being Greshams Team Quest. Regional MMA promotions like Matt Lindlands SportFight and amateur MMA draws good crowds, and theres few markets in the country that have such a strong mainstream acceptance and understanding of mixed martial arts.

The UFC originally planned to hold an event in Portland last year, but when Randy Couture resigned with the promotion and agreed to fight Brock Lesnar UFC 91 was moved to Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena. The UFC rescheduled their Rose City debut for August 29th, headlined by a matchup between local hero Couture and tough PRIDE vet Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

What they received instead was an outpouring of apathy from the community. As of early this week, there had been as few as 8,500 tickets sold in the 21,000 seat Rose Garden Arena. Even media sources like Yahoo Sports, who invariably put a positive spin on everything the UFC, does are reporting just over 10,000 tickets sold. In the final week runup to the event the UFC has been aggressively giving away tickets, so between that and walkup business theyll likely end up with a respectable 15,000 to 18,000 attendance figure. Itll look fine on the PPV, as they can curtain off unsold sections of seats and shoot the crowd to make it look larger.

Earlier in the week Zuffa announced the postponement of a WEC event scheduled for Youngstown, Ohio. The official reason given was an injury to main event fighter Ben Henderson, and while thats not been confirmed several sources have indicated that he did suffer a minor setback during training. Some suggest that the real reason was poor ticket sales.

While Youngstown could have been a bad choice for a MMA event all along, the UFC will probably blame the economy for the poor showing of live ticket sales in Portland. While the high unemployment rate nationally and regionally doesnt help things, it doesnt appear to be a major factor in the UFCs struggles to sell tickets in the Rose City. A mind boggling number of people who self identify as casual or serious fans of the UFC had no idea that an event was being held in Portland at all. Thats likely due to a marketing and promotion campaign locally that is somewhere between misplaced and non-existent.

Even among fans who *did* know that UFC 102 was coming to Portland, theres no buzz whatsoever. Theres a variety of reasons for this"many fans have suggested that the high ticket prices werent justified by a relatively weak card. Others have suggested that they would be interested in attending the event, but theres a whole slew of competing events this weekend including the Oregon State Fair.

The UFC has a misguided notion that they can simply put their name on an arena marquee and local fans will pay top dollar for tickets regardless of who is fighting on the card or what else is going on that night. The reality has demonstrated otherwise with poor ticket sales in Portland and other markets.

While this view is strictly my opinion, it is supported by the facts and is now being validated by speakers in high places.

Well-known speaker and author, Jim Cathart, CPAE, a Past President of the National Speakers Association, recently commented that:"Scott Dennison has nailed it. The problem in our business is that it's not there anymore. The needs are still there and our skills are still valuable, but the ways in which people buy our services has permanently moved. It's time to go where the buying is happening."

So what is this all about and if the old way of doing things in the speaking business is dead - what can you, as a public speaker do to survive? Here are my top three tips for public speaking success in 2010 and beyond.

1) Realize that the new rules apply to you and act accordingly. We've moved from a time when speakers presented their message to live audiences and were able to command high fees to do so, to one where meetings that require a speaker are reduced.

What this means is that you need to think like a publisher or content provider. You're not just a speaker anymore. The audiences who once attended your speeches are still hungry for information on your area of expertise and want to gain access to your knowledge. They are seeking content and the new rules state you must give it to them.

2) Seek to find out what the audience loved about you and about your information. Then build relationships with only those individuals who are passionate about your topic.

Because of the Internet, you audience is not limited to those who would or could travel to the convention or meeting where you were presenting your information. Access to your work is now available to people all over the world with the only barrier being that persons access to the Internet. If your material fills a need your content can be distributed everywhere on earth.

3) Provide content for them to consume in multi-media formats, including video, audio, and text. This allows you to meet the needs of every learning style and offer them your information in they way they most want to receive it.
