Kaspersky Program Safety Issues

Kaspersky Labs, based in Moscow, wanted to speed up the peformance of the program and did so by cloaking information. Whiel the cloaking process is not inherently bad, there are those that believe that hackers would take advantage of it. Unlike the Sony BMG software, that hackers took complete advantage of, the threat with these programs is not as serious. The problem lies with the fact that those who work on computers need to know everything that is installed on it. Developing software that hides information is not a good practice at all.

Determining The Primary Trend

Always remember, trend is your friend. Trading in the direction of the trend is the best trading strategy. Never try to trade against the trend. So determining the primary direction of the trend is highly importanct for you. Primary trend is the direction of the market that offers the least resistance forward making money. When you follow a primary trend in a bull market you look for strong stocks and in a bear market you look for stocks showing weaknesses. The most important thing that you should in a market is its primary trend. In order to determine the primary direction of the trend, you need to draw correct trendlines. This is an art that traders learn with experience. A wrong trendline means lost trades. You use the following tools to determine the primary trend! Knowing the primary trend and trading in its direction increases your chances of making money. So how do you find the primary trend and what tools you need to determine the primary trend?

Trendlines: You don't have to worry much about how to correctly draw the trendline as most of the trading platforms have the function to help you draw the trendline. You can let the software draw the trendline for you or you can do it yourself. It is up to you. To correctly draw a rising trendline on the chart, start with the lowest low on the chart and connect it to the lowest low preceding the highest high in the chart without bothering about the prices between the two points. Knowing how to draw and use trendlines gives you an excellent start on any trade. Similarly to draw the down trendline, draw a line connecting the highest high on the chart to the highest high preceding the lowest low of the chart without passing through the prices between the two prices. Prices are gradually going up. Now there might be minor trends in the primary trend but these minor trends are just like the ebb and flow of the waves in an ocean. Two more concepts that you need to learn is the key support and key resistance. Key support is the area above which the prices have held for sometimes. Key resistance is the area above which the prices have not been able to rise for sometimes. A market breaking above the key resistance or below the key support is a signals a new trend.

Moving Averages: Moving averages are sues to smooth out the market's trend over a given period of time and serve as an important support and resistance levels. Support level is the price where the prices stop falling and the buyers step in overcoming the selling pressure. A break in the support level is an indication that more weakness may be ahead.

A break above the resistance level is an indication that the market is going strong. Resistance level is the price where prices stop rising and the sellers overcome the buying pressure. You should always keep this rule in mind that you should be out of the market by selling as soon as the key support is broken. On the other hand you should buy into the market as soon as the key resistance is broken.

Oscillators: Oscillators are technical tools whose movements up or below a certain level give you an important trading signal. What is more important to know is the fact that oscillators produce useful mathematical data that can help you tell whether the market is overbought or oversold and whether the momentum of the primary trend in the market is still strong or there is a potential change in the primary trend ahead? Two important oscillators that you should be familiar with are RSI and MACD. Oscillators are graphic depictions of points derived from the mathematical formulas that are plotted below the price charts. Knowing these mathematical formulas is not important as a trader. MACD is a highly popular technical indicator and is widely used by the traders in divergence trading.

Bollinger Bands: Bollinger bands are calculated by plotting points one or more standard deviations above and below the 20-day moving average. However, you can calculate Bollinger Bands with any moving average. Bollinger bands are also known as volatility bands or envelopes. Bollinger bands give you visual evidence when the market has travelled too far in any one direction. After you identify the primary trend in the market, you should determine your trading timeframe. These timeframes are a sort of vague and can range from a few weeks to months. Short time frame for market timers is a few days to a few weeks. Long term time frame is something like six months.

A real investor's only concern about the future, on the other hand, is the price dropping; he or she wants to guard against this. So, a real investor looks for two things: safety and profit. If either of these things are not present and are not assured beyond a reasonable doubt, then he or she will not consider it an investment, but a speculative operation.

Safety

Property has two values assigned to it: the intrinsic value and the price. The intrinsic value is what the property should be priced, while the price is what the property is actually priced. Investors are more concerned with the intrinsic value than the price. They watch the price until it drops significantly below the intrinsic value, and then they buy the property. Afterwards, the price no longer concerns them. If a market is so inflated that there are no prices below the intrinsic values, you should move to a different area, as speculation is the only strategy available in those areas.

Always remember that the market functions as a weighing machine in the long run; the price will rise to meet the intrinsic value. Also remember that it is only an estimate, it may not reach exactly the intrinsic value. Therefore, we should buy significantly below the intrinsic value, not just below it.

Eighty percent or below the intrinsic value: this is the criteria we use when looking at price to determine if we should buy the investment property or not. This will give us a margin of safety. If the price of the home should drop in the future, we have a twenty percent buffer before we feel any impact. Sure, the price may be lower than when we bought it, but remember that we are concerned with value. If the price does drop more than twenty percent, the impact is lessened by our safety barrier.

To assure ourselves a profit, we must not rely on appreciation, for this is us relying on chance. As nobody has a crystal ball, this is a silly strategy. Let us find another way.

Find a home with a solid, firm foundation, but be sure it is in need of surface level repairs. Subtract the price paid for the home per square foot minus the new construction cost of comparable homes per square foot. This difference should be at least double the repair expense estimate. When we do this, we can buy and repair the property. For every dollar we put into it, we get two or more back when we sell. This assures us of a profit, and our margin of safety assures us of safety. Sounds pretty easy, right? Uh... not so fast, my friend. Look, a lot of things appear easy, but that doesn't mean it will be. If you truly want to know who is buying up real estate in your area, you need to be proactive. They're not exactly going to be kicking your door in. You need to go find them...

Here is what you do first. One, get yourself 100 blank, white, 24 x' bandit signs, with metal stakes. These are available all over the internet. Just Google "blank bandit signs." My recommendation? Contact the company by phone. I buy my signs from Sign Warehouse (signwarehouse.com). And speaking to a sales rep sometimes has perks, like free shipping. My rep, Stephanie Johnston, used to cut my shipping all the time. And these boxes are heavy...

Ok, you're 100 blank bandit signs have arrived. Now, take 30 out, and write this on them:

Heck, if you wanted to put 50 out, that would be just fine. Why $.30 on the dollar? Because that's a really, really good deal... in most parts of the country. Now, if you live in parts of Michigan or Ohio, that may not work for you. But, for just about every other locale in the U.S., it will. And like gold...

And that's how it's done.

Uh, try them again. And, what I just told you to do, didn't just get pulled from the air. It's a tactic I use with my students... and not because it doesn't work. Have faith, grasshopper.

Ok, so you've added some new buyers to your short, but active, buyers list. BTW, all you need is 8 to 10 serious, active, experienced, cash buyers, to make a lot of money in this business. That's it. The rest of the lookie-lou's you put in an email database and blast to when you get a property that your real buyers pass on.... hoping one pulls the trigger. The days of 200 person buyers lists is over... at least for the smart wholesaler.

Now, get on the internet and find your local real estate investment association (REIA). Here in Tampa, we have two, and they are huge. Find the closest one to your house and go to a meeting. I don't think you have to be a member to attend, but you will have to pay. Should be cheap, though. Use the time after the meeting is over to shake hands, exchange business cards and express your interest in finding cash buyers. And, if you desire, join the group and become a member. Again, it's not that expensive.

Make sure you have either two local numbers, or that you give the caller an option. For example, if the caller is looking to sell their house, press 1. If you are looking to purchase wholesale property, press 2. That kind of thing. If it were me, though, I'd get two different numbers. That's just me...

Remember, placement is important. You want tons of eyes on these signs, but you also want to place them in areas you want to buy. Find places that match those two criteria and stick them in the ground. Make sure they are at places where cars stop. No highway medians.

And while you are fielding leads from those 70 signs, you should be thinking of more ways to find buyer and deals. However, what I just described to you will definitely give your business a kick in the pants right off the bat. It will give you tons of momentum. And momentum is HUGE in wholesaling. If you're lazy... it will become habit. If you're aggressive... that will become habit, also. And, the money you make will become addictive.
