How are you going to get traffic to your blog? You can either write articles or use ads. The secret is in ranking high within the search engines.

If you want to rank high in the search engines you need to build up backlinks. The more the merrier.

The three top ways to get backlinks are from writing articles and manually submitting them to the different directories,getting pay per click ads and to straight out buy the links.

When you use pay per click ads you have to have a firm understanding of targeted keywords. If you target the wrong audience or don't pick highly optimized keywords you stand to loose a lot of money.

Buying links to your blog may seem like a good (and easy) way to get traffic to your blog but you have to buy quality links. The higher the Pr of the site is the better your blog will rank but the higher the PR the more the links are going to cost you. This can cost a lot of money because if the links are from low PR sites they will do you little good.

The links you buy need to be from sites that are related to yours. In the eyes of the search engines links from related sites hold a much greater importance. If a link is from a teeth whitening site and your site is about kitchen supplies then the search engines won't consider that an important backlink.

When you are article marketing the more articles that you have submitted the more traffic you will receive. Article marketing has two advantages. The first is that you can create content that will allow people to read it and click over to your site if they like what they read and second it gives your site backlinks.

Article marketing is also the cheapest way to get traffic. You can write articles and manually submit them for free. Usually when you submit an article you can use an authors resource box. This is where you can put your links to your blog. Most directories allow two links per article.

When you are article marketing you have two ways you can go. The first is much more labor intensive but it is also free. If you get a good one they will send out unique articles and submit them for you.

If you choose to use an article submission site they will submit the articles for you saving you a ton of time. When you use an article submission site to get traffic to your blog you need to make sure that they are sending out unique articles to all of the directories. Why speak to the MCs in your area before starting a new MC?

I want to address a question I have gotten a lot recently. (I am sure it has a lot to do with the hit show Sons of Anarchy) It is from people who want to start new Motorcycle Clubs. They want to know if they should go to the predominate MCs in their area to talk about starting a new MC first. Many have said to me they do not understand the reason why they should go talk to them! Some have even gone as far as to say that if they have to go to the predominate MC in their area and ask permission that just proves that MC is a Criminal Gang! Not sure how they came to that conclusion but they are some very strong words sent over the computer.

I want everyone to remember I am writing this info as a guideline to those who are looking to get into the MC world and individual results may vary. This maybe some new fad to you but to true Motorcycle Club Members this world is everything!

For my answer to this Question I am going to put aside any statements of having to ask permission of the MCs in your area. I am going to instead ask why would you not speak to the MCs in your area and get their Blessing first before starting a new Motorcycle Club. Many say its because they are going to start a different type of Motorcycle Club. They may even be calling themselves something different like a Riding Club or a Motorcycle Association. Are your Members going to ride Motorcycles and have Club patches on their vests? If the answer is yes, Then again why not go speak to those who have come before you and paved the roads you now wish to ride down!

For many I know the reason they don't want to ask is simple fear! Fear of what they do not know or what they think they do know. If it is fear, then it is because you do not know the real Motorcycle Club world! Now every Motorcycle Club in the world is different. But most Motorcycle Clubs don't mind helping to get a new MC started and teach them what it really means to be in a Motorcycle Club, I can guarantee you it is something you will not learn on TV no matter how many episodes you may watch!

Now if you have decided that what you really want is to start up a new Motorcycle Club, One thing I want to make sure you know is something every Father should have taught his Son as a Child and that is "Do not lie and Always do what you say you are going to do" One fact I will also give you is the MC world is all about Respect! If you just start up a new MC without talking to the other clubs in your area that will most likely be seen as disrespectful!

Lets think about some other reasons you would want to talk to the MCs in your area first. You are going to want to make sure your new Patch or MC name is not similar to another Motorcycle Club. Many MCs have worked hard over the years to create a name and image for themselves. They will not like the idea of you either using a name close to theirs or wearing a patch that looks like theirs. The reason being is a simple one, They do not want you being mistaken for them doing anything that would make them look bad. You also could be seen as trying to ride on their coat tails by using the reputation they have worked hard for. You may not understand it now but the MC world is a Brotherhood and if you are fortunate enough to be welcomed into it, You will understand after years of working hard creating a name for your MC. The bottom line is meeting with the MCs in your area and talking with them before starting a new MC is the right thing to do!

Another fear many have is they wrongly believe they will be forced to do things for these other MC's. The only thing most Clubs may ask of you is to come to a few of their events each year have fun and again to show Respect!!!

Now I have heard complaints from many that there are areas where the MCs have decided they do not want any more new MCs! Well all I can do is guess why that might be! The reason I would think that Motorcycle Clubs would say no more Clubs in an area is that there are already a lot of different MCs in that area and they all get along real well. These MCs would not want anything new coming in and messing up the harmony they have created.

Now like I said before the reason most say they want to start a new MC is because they want to start something different then what is in that area. Well often that is not the truth. The real reason People often want to start a new MC is because they do not want to have to Prospect! If the only reason you want to start a new MC is because you are not willing to prospect, My best advice to you is to stay an independent rider because you will not last long in the Motorcycle Club world anyway! Quality Manual for ISO 9001:2000 Standard

A quality manual is the top-level definition of a quality management system of your company. It is similar to an expanded mission or vision statement. Quality manual establishes the policy level position of your management in the area of quality management system (QMS). There are two definitions of what a quality manual for an ISO 9001 QMS should be:

ISO 10013, Guidelines for Developing Quality Manuals, element 4.2, gives detailed suggestions for creating a quality manual. It defines a quality manual, among other requirements, as a document that should "consist of, or refer to, the documented quality system procedures intended for planning and administration of activities which impact on quality" ISO 9001:2000, element 4.2.2 describes a quality manual as a document containing:

- the scope of the QMS and details of and justification for any exclusions;

- references to the documented procedures, and

- relationships between the processes of your quality management system.

Instructions above are really not that difficult to follow. We just need to ensure that our quality manual includes the sections to include the scope of your quality management system and exclusions; reference the procedures that describe your quality management system and define interactions of you QMS processes.

Most companies I worked with, state the scope of QMS in a scope or introduction sections of their manuals, similar to these: "XYZ Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and sells industrial application flow meters" or "XYZ Corporation provides paper and plastic recycling services to municipalities in the Great Newtown area"

Now, after we established the scope of our ISO 9001:2000 QMS, we need to describe the processes we use to achieve the results stated in our scope. While we are doing this, we need to remember to reference corresponding procedures. Per my experience, the easiest way to do it, is to transform the standard from a list of requirements into your organization's dedication to satisfy those requirements. For example: Element 4.2.4 of ISO 9001:2000 requires that "Records shall be established and maintained to provide evidence of conformity to requirements and the effective operation of the quality management system" our manual will affirm: "XYZ Corporation ensures that records are established and maintained to provide evidence of conformity to requirements and the effective operation of the QMS per the Records Procedure"

Looking at the paragraph above, you will notice that a reference to a specific procedure satisfies the second requirement for a quality manual. Continuing in a similar way, addressing all applicable elements of the standard and referencing corresponding procedures, we will develop a quality manual satisfying ISO 9001:2000 requirements.

Various methods are used to document process interactions. Some companies utilize Figure 1 in ISO 9001:2000 standard to document relations between main processes. Blend of the Figure 1 and references to your procedures, will define interactions between your processes. You can find additional models for process interactions on the Internet. Just, type "process interaction matrix" into your browser and you will find your answers.

Now, when we addressed the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 standard for quality manual, consider this. A well written and professionally designed quality manual may become a powerful marketing tool. It can communicate to your prospects and customers that your organization is not only a quality-conscious organization, but that it also knows how to document and communicate its commitment to quality through your quality manual.

I always wonder what companies achieve by stamping their quality manuals in bold capitol red letters ?CONFIDENTIAL?. As far as I?m concerned, a quality manual is a company?s resume for quality, and if you hide your resume, there is a very good chance that you will never get a job! How do I get out of the Google Sandbox

If you know anything about search engine optimization then you have probably gotten word of the Google sandbox. The sandbox is a thing that nobody knows for sure if it exists. It is a filter that people believe will prevent your new site from achieving the ranking it deserves because it is new to the Google index.

Does it exist? I dont really know. The only way to tell is to do such good optimization that it would put your site at number one in a single day. I am pretty sure that nobody can do that.

I believe it depends on your optimization efforts, not the Google Sandbox. I had a site that was just below 100 for about 2 weeks after the domain was registered. 2 weeks later I was at position 10. I had increased my optimization efforts. Did I beat the sandbox, does it only last 2 weeks, does it exist at all? I don't know, but if it does exist it doesn't last more than 30 days if you know what you are doing.

So to get to the point, it may exist but I beat it in less than a month. If you are such a good SEO that you can optimize a site that should make it to page one in less than 30 days then props to you. I think my site getting on page one of Google in 30 days, before Yahoo even indexed me, is an indication that the Sandbox is fluff.

What people refer to as the sandbox for me, is natural progression. I think that you have to pass sites to get ranked, and it takes some time to pass a site that has been on Google for a while.

Whatever your interest in the internet, be it trying to make money, communicate a message to the world, or just having fun, getting a good search engine ranking is of utmost importance if you want to get visitors to your site. There are other ways such as conventional article marketing (very time consuming) or pay per click advertising (very expensive). However, if you know how to do it search engine optimization is ruthlessly effective at getting visitors to your site and achieving your long-term goals.

Keyword research is the first, critical step to any successful SEO project. If you get it wrong then you could end up trying to rank well for a very competitive keyword and all your efforts will be going to waste. There are some great free tools for doing this like the Google Keywords tool. However, all the free methods have one significant limitation - they don't evaluate the SEO efforts of the other competing sites and therefore establish how possible it is to compete in the rankings for that keyword.

In my opinion one of the best paid services is MicroNicheFinder. It overcomes the big limitations of the free keyword research methods. Most importantly of all it considers a variety of highly complex variables to realistically compute your chances of ranking for a specific keyword. It's available from Clickbank. It's a tool that I would not be without.

The other critical aspect for ranking well in the search engines is new, regular, keyword rich, unique content. Blogging is great for this and the search engines love them. It's particularly important to regularly update the content of a site at the start of its life to catch the attention of the search engines.

If you know anything about SEO you'll know about the importance of building back links. One of the best methods for achieving this is article marketing. However, if you try and do this effectively manually I reckon there's a 90% chance that you'll give up due to the time and effort that this entails. I just don't have the patience to do it so I use a great tool called Unique Article Wizard which largely automates the process both in terms of generating unique versions of your article and submitting articles to directories on your behalf. It's a great tool, highly effective and I couldn't survive without it.

Now, the above covers getting high numbers of back links. However, the resulting back links are not always on high page rank sites. As the search engines also place a lot of importance on the quality of your back links this is also another important consideration if you want to rank well. To do this I use another paid tool called EasyBacklinker which is (as far as I know) the only way of easily finding high page rank sites which you can add a do follow (this is very important) back link. I'm affraid that I don't know of any free way of hunting down these sites so would recommend it if you can afford it (it's not too expensive).

Based on my experiences this is all that you need to do to get a high ranking for a given keyword. Sure, it takes time. But it's really worth it. Generally speaking a lot of people can't be bothered with thorough SEO because it's requires some effort. However, if you're prepared to put in the time then you will rank well and get boat loads of free traffic.

If you're a little impatient and want immediate free traffic then publish articles on using EzineArticles, Squidoo and Hubpages. These resullt in immediate visits to your site while you wait for search engine rank to improve. As an added bonus you do of course generate additional back links.

Was the cowboy who wrote this song someone who had his own share of clouds and discouraging words but chose to focus on the blue skies in lieu of the scattered thunder showers that dotted them? I believe the answer to that question is yes.

Knowing that having the proper motivation is critical to success, what should we do? Following the lead of this sage old cowpuncher I have committed to the following regarding my attitude about sales and work. The first commitment that I have made is to be realistic and admit that there are some clouds, rain, and lightning. This is a bummer, I know, but instead of getting soaked by the precipitation, I have decided to put on a rain jacket and get back to work. Secondly, I know that there are many individuals who are telling us how bad the economy is, and they have done a marvelous job of that. I agree that there are some very good reasons to be concerned about our economy but there are also as many or more reasons to be excited about the future of our economy. So I have decided to limit the amount of "discouraging words" that I listen to. How many times do I need to hear bad news to get it Okay, I get it.

The economy is bad. For me however, it is time to move on and focus on what I can do which is to create value at my company and then to present that value to the companies that I work with.

Maybe Dr. Brewster M Higley, the surgeon, who penned the lyrics for this song was right. He had tough times like us but he sang about the good ones to remind himself of what he needed to do. Maybe it's time to take his prescription and remember the words that he told himself "where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day".
