The SAP R/3 is an organisation resource planning scheme, educated by Systeme, Andwendungen, Produkte in der Datenverarbeitung, or in English Systems, Applications, Products in Data Processing. SAP is not planning on releasing an SAP R/4. Or Else, the future of SAP will be mySAP.com, which will contain all SAP products. Currently mySAP.com "sits on-top" of SAP R/3.

A note on SAP's industry specified solutions: until 1994/95, SAP ran a one-size fits all integrated result. Currently they provide 21 Industry Answers; all of which are held on a parallel track, and mixed with their core development. A Review Of The Upcoming Operating System Windows 7

Windows 7 is the name of the next Microsoft operating system. Some say it is a direct response to the bad reputation of Windows Vista that received bad press and reception shortly after the release.

The hardware requirements of the new operating system will not be different from those of Windows Vista. Microsoft made sure that Windows 7 will run on the same hardware more efficiently.

The first beta version of windows 7 was given out in late October 2008. This version was missing some of the new features in windows seven. One of the first things you notice is the new taskbar, with larger icons, application preview on mouse rollover, a popup menu showing features directly from the taskbar.

The sidebar that was one of the new features in Windows Vista has been changed so that gadgets can now be placed anywhere on the computer desktop. Libraries are another new feature that makes it possible to group folders together for easier searching.

Touch support has been added to to Windows 7 which obviously requires a monitor screen that is touch compatible. It can be used to control the operating system with the fingers to perform operations like scrolling or opening applications.

Windows 7 will have a hard time adapting to touch, stylus control and mouse, since each one has different requirements.

Also new in windows seven is something called Device Stage. This feature helps device vendors control what happens on connection, a control center specifically tailored for each device.

A metadata update service makes it possible to update the device stage anytime. Some long time Windows software programs have been updated with a new user interface. This includes Wordpad, the Windows Calculator and Microsoft Paint.

The most significant change was to Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player now supports new codecs which include AAC,H264,Xvid,Divx. Also they have added more multimedia features which includes a new animation framework along with DirectX 11.

Data on removable devices can now be encrypted with the new Bitlocker To Go software which is an addition to the Bitlocker software that originated in Windows Vista. Network shares can now be used without VPNs thanks to this feature as well.

Windows 7 builds up on the security concept that was introduced in Windows Vista. Microsoft optimized the security however and reduced the user interaction level.

They are hoping not to repeat the Vista debacle which had many bugs and code rewrites. Also there should not be any problem with drivers and compatibility of applications that plagued Vista.

Many users are looking forward to the Windows 7 release. Especially those that have skipped Windows Vista due to the bad press that it received during release.

Capita Takes Over for Corgi

The Corgi certificate, something United Kingdom residents have come to associate as a "certificate of approval" for a gas plumber is going to be changing hands. Over the next few months, gas certificates will start to be issued and monitored by the Capita Company and will no longer be the domain of the Corgi Company.

During the last two decades, Corgi has been responsible for issuing certifications and making sure homes that used natural gas met local safety codes. The Corgi Company will cease its reign over gas standards in April 2009 and the Capita Company will take over as the standards monitor for the office of the Health and Safety Executive.

The every day operations of the gas plumbing industry will stay the same as they were before Capita took charge. Each company has issued statements that they will try to make sure that business carries on as it always has for Corgi employees once the March 31st deadline passes. Capita will be in charge on April 1, 2009. So far there is no information about the exact transformation process or how natural gas consumers will be affected. That said, both Capita and Corgi are doing all that they can to ensure that the transition process will be as smooth as possible.

If you have natural gas, you do not have to worry about whether or not you will be protected once Corgi officially steps down and Capita steps up. It has been made apparent by the Health and Safety Executive office that Capita's takeover is largely because the company proved that it was more than ready to ensure that consumers of natural gas would be well educated about the concerns involved with their consumption of natural gas.

The contract came up for bid in 2006 after a survey of United Kingdom homeowners uncovered the fact that more than half of the homes worked on by Corgi employees had not been taught about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning! Consumers will benefit greatly from a new company coming in and making sure that everyone is educated in all areas of natural gas consumption.

Corgi will be responsible for gas regulations and certifications and the regulations for both will not change until March 31st 2009. Capita will step in on April 1st 2009 and be in charge of the United Kingdom's natural gas plumbers and inspectors.

Capita will probably directly hire 250 Corgi employees to make sure that the transition goes smoothly. Both companies decided that a definite start and end date would be more beneficial than a confusing transition. Consumers can expect their changes to be few and far between.

Poor people crumble at the first sign of trouble unable to make decisions and revert to their self pity attitude. Wealthy people aren't intimidated by extra zeroes in their income level. Poor people think in smaller increments wanting just enough to get by. Wealthy people are decisive and efficient in their decisions. They make decisions based on their future desires. Poor people procrastinate and are waiting for external forces to tell them the right time to move ahead on the road to success.

There is a time for everyone to start a new process of thinking. If these ideas seem new to you, then NOW is your time to make changes that will help you to think and act like a rich/wealthy person. Waste no more time and begin today.

It's time to start considering competition within the labor force too. When unemployment rises, it forces each worker to be on their best behavior so as not to lose their job. As much as we're complaining about the unemployment rate here in the United States, ours is one of the lowest of the developed world. So maybe we should draw from that line of thinking and realize that no one is going to hand us our personal bailouts. Self-employment might just be the ticket, though.

Like I said earlier, times are not good. My main point is not that farming is the answer to our problem. It is that a self-employment mindset is. Wyoming has managed to keep their unemployment rates way below the national average because you cannot get fired if you work for yourself. That, the reach of a global economy, plus the power of the Internet combine to make the idea of a career change into something more personal look better than ever.

The Best Way To Set Up A Tickler File

As part of my ongoing GTD Thirty Day Challenge, I wanted to talk about how you should set up a tickler file.

After listening to some of David Allen's conversations, I think he uses 43 folders for his tickler file. The 43 folders are 12 for each month and 31 for each day. If it is January, I'd have 31 folder into the January folder of my months. After each day, I'd take that day's folder and move it behind the next month, in this case February. If it's the 20th, the previous folder for days 1-19 would be behind the February folder now.

Now, how do you use it? Today, I had a bill I learned I had to pay on February 3. I don't want to forget it, so I would put it behind my February 3 tab. When that day rolls around, I check my tickler file and it prompts me to pay the bill.

If you asked me, I think using 43 folders for my tickler file is not the best way to set up a tickler file. First, it's hard to remember to check the tickler each day. You'll be asking yourself, "how do I remind myself to check the tickler file?" Secondly, it's very bulky and not very portable. Third, when you move the folders for each day to the next month you have to take items in that months folder and put them in the right day.

The tickler file is essential to your GTD set up, however, because you have to remember future items. If you have a lot of physical items then the tickler file is the way to go. In my case, I don't have tons of physical items and so here is my solution to the above problems with a tickler file.

Setting Up A Tickler File

The first thing to do is to create a plastic folder for your briefcase called "Waiting For" and put all the things you need to remember in the future in it.

Next, I created a folder in my email account called "Yahoo Reminders". You'll see this folder if you look at the image of my email folder structure in How To Set Up Your GTD Email. I then set up a filter for all Yahoo Reminders to go into this specific folder and not in my inbox for processing.

The final component of my tickler file setup is Yahoo calendar. Anything I need to remember on a certain day gets entered as an all day event. An email reminder is associated with the event and a email goes out 2 days before I need to remember to do it. I also have it send me a text as a backup.

Using the example above, the bill that's due on the third of February gets entered onto my calendar as an all day event like "pay this bill" and an email reminder gets sent to me 2 days before that date. Then I slip the bill in my "Waiting For" folder in my briefcase.

On the 1st day of February, I get a Yahoo reminder that reminds me about the bill that needs to be paid on the third and it goes directly into my Yahoo reminder folder in my email account. In addition, a text goes out as well giving me a backup on my blackberry in case I can't get to my Yahoo reminder's folder in my email account. I review my blackberry text messages every day and review my reminders folder too as well if I have access to it.

This setup is especially lightweight and extremely portable. It reminds me of everything so I do not have to remember to check. I also don't have to move stuff around in my tickler file. If you don't use email reminders, you really don't have any idea how valuable they can be. My suggestion is use them, even if you use the 43 folders as your tickler file. They will improve your GTD system 100%

Once you learn how to set up a tickler file in this fashion, you'll find it ideal for maximum effectiveness.
